This Tex-Mex cornerstone has been holding it down Mama Lupe style since 1971. Calling themselves an "Urban Latino Pub" this watering hole and taco haven has been run by generations of families for generations of families for many-a-year. There are two other locations, one on the Nicolett Mall and the other in Eden Prairie, but this is the flagship. A monthly newsletter which updates the regulars on the Pepito's family, and visa-versa, is just one small example of the devotion this place has for the Chicago Ave. community. Believe us, the Mexican munchies they serve show their devotion to their dishes as well.
The "Nachos Lupitas" are great to share with a group or can be eaten as a meal and the chile con queso is fantastic. Buy some on your way out of the restaurant for the weekend...it will not last long.
