Feast your eyes on: Hazel's Northeast
This new Northeast eatery (on 29th and Johnson) fills the hole left by "Pop!" and takes things up a notch with comfort food from around the world (we recommend the Bun Mi sandwich).
Brothers Andrew and Adam Sieve own Hazel's, and as third generation restaurant owners, they're sticking to what they know is good (ok, what their grandmother knew was good back in the day).
By adding a fresh, approachable twist to family recipes items like the bread pudding of the day or the salmon burger—both are as tasty as any we've had in the Twin Cities.
Tapping into the resources of the block, Hazel's utilizes Sarah Jane's (the neighboring bakery) for the goods they don't already make in-house.
With a stellar breakfast menu, cozy soups and sandwiches and fine-dining dinner options, this is a great spot for families, couples and roomies in Northeast.
