Designed to look and feel like a 1930s ocean liner, The Oceanaire Seafood Room is the best way for a Twin Cities resident to get fresh seafood without hopping a plane to the coast. Their sea creatures come with one of the heftiest price tags in town but they are worth every penny. With a menu that includes stone crabs and Icelandic Arctic charr, the Oceanaire experience is upscale but the menu has remained "classically simple," as seafood was in the 1930s and 1940s. The staff works hard to keep the mood light and fun. It’s fine dining but in a relaxed atmosphere; as one employee said, "the only thing stuffy about Oceanaire is the walleye."
