When you come to this Lilydale deli, you get what you might expect. It’s inexpensive, quick, and convenient but also of very high quality. From the salads (tortellini, Caesar penne), to the cold sandwiches (prosciutto with mozzarella) to the hot sandwiches (meatball or sausage, served on a roll with sauce and provolone). Marc Marchionda, general manager of the surrounding complex, which also includes I Nonni, the adjacent Italian restaurant, and a wine shop, says they make their sandwiches from the finest selection of meats, cheeses, sauces and breads available. This is where people from Eagan, Mendota Heights and St. Paul come for lunch, to eat in or take out.
