The brainchild of two Irish expats and their American-born friend, The Anchor is a classic British chipper and neighborhood pub. Located within blocks of other Northeast hotspots like the 331 Club, Modern Cafe and Northeast Social Club, The Anchor offers cheap bar food in the British style.
Chips dominate the menu alongside classics like the fried fish, toasty, battered sausage and pastie. Most of the menu items are locally sourced including Thousand Hills beef, sausages from a local grocer and produce from local markets.
