Close to downtown, but far enough to be out of the hustle and bustle, this contemporary Japanese restaurant looks out on to Main Street on the Mississippi River. The dining room has large booths big enough to fit parties of 10 and the enclosed patio is romantically surrounded by windows and lit by lanterns. Known for their authentic Japanese cuisine, a favorite item on the menu are the table-top Nabemono Meals. In Japan, guests traditionally partake in the cooking process. If you're feeling really adventurous try the Una-ju (grilled fresh water eel over rice in a box container, served with miso soup and oshinko), one of their most authentic dishes. It's definitely worth a hop across the river.
