Not to play into stereotypes about our sister cities, but it’s true that the Saint Paul location of Fuji Ya is much quieter than its Uptown Minneapolis sister. What’s consistent is its award-winning quality; the fish is always exactingly fresh and the sushi chefs are knowledgeable, dexterous and creative. The main attractions are the gorgeous plates of nigiri and sashimi, but the menu also features noodle dishes, tempura, bento boxes, hibachi dinners and teriyaki. Expert martinis and a wide variety of sakes make this an excellent date destination, especially because it's within walking distance of Downtown St. Paul.
