Fuji Ya, a Twin Cities original, is a sleek, modern restaurant that caters to an eclectic mix of people with its sushi bar, liquor lounge and zashiki rooms. This lively Uptown sushi bar features authentic Japanese cuisine, award-winning sashimi and a bevy of domestic and imported pick-me-ups. And yes, that includes sake.

Come Thursday or Sunday at the Minneapolis location, the crowd swings a bit younger with DJ-mixed house music from 9 p.m. to close. Listen to hip-hop, soul, progressive, dance or funk while getting your drink and dine on – sushi-style.
