Lamb is the meat of the house at the Acropol Inn. The restaurant
is family-owned and owners are proud to say the Acropol Inn was the first
Greek restaurant in the Twin Cities. Father and son man the
kitchen, while "mom" greets and seats you. Everything is made from
scratch with key Greek ingredients, such as feta cheese, olives, and special
seasonings, imported from Greece. The restaurant carries a few wine
selections from the homeland, including the legendary Achaia
Klauss winery, which has been around since the 1860s. The restaurant's
egg lemon soup is taken out by the buckets, even on hot days, and the Greek salad dressing is so popular,
the family sells it by the jar. Everything here is made from generations of family recipes. The owners guarantee that a visit to their restaurant will make you feel as if you were eating a Sunday dinner with them at home.
