Chef Vincent Francoual creates unpretentious French cuisine in his namesake restaurant on busy Nicollet Mall, attracting power lunchers and special occasion diners with his flare for sophisticated dining. As expected, the wine menu is divine, and the lunchtime menu also makes this a good ‘grab-n-go’ location. A tasting menu is one of the best ways to enjoy the array of culinary creations, but if you can’t stomach the cost ($72) the Mushroom Risotto and the Braised Wild Boar make a good alternative. The only French thing you won’t find at this place is the attitude - unless you're bringin' it.
