This eco-chic café, nestled in the heart of Uptown, is all about community and sustainability. Common Roots offers a low-key setting that incorporates tremendous local, fresh and often organic cuisine with tasty regional beers and wines. Come in for Happy Hour and enjoy Common Roots' specials on appetizers, beer and wine. Common Roots also partners with Peace Coffee, which is a fair-trade farmer direct coffee grower. This means that you’re getting a coffee that you can actually feel good about drinking. The menu is seasonal and sometimes sourced from their own backyard (really, there's a garden back there). Vegans and vegetarians will be well taken care of, but omnivores aren't left out either. If you go in the morning, don't miss the baked goods—bagels and scones are a way of life here.
