With one of the best patios in Minnesota, the Freight House is a summer spectacle. Actually housed in an old freight house, this place is crowded with locals and visitors enjoying cold beers, light pastas, crispy fried fish, char-grilled burgers and salads that just taste like summer. The large indoor seating area is rustic, but a little more upscale than the deck. Views of the St. Croix River and a casual atmosphere on the deck make this spot a perfect end to a day of exploring historic downtown Stillwater. At night, the bar transforms into a nightclub with live DJs and dancing.
