Caspers' Cherokee Sirloin Room

The Cherokee Sirloin Room hasn't changed its ways in many, many years. This steakhouse is old school, carrying on the same family traditions of the original Cherokee that opened in 1934. When they say they’re part of the neighborhood, they mean it. Owner Jim Casper is a West St. Paul resident and his whole 'hood meets here after baptisms, graduations, weddings and retirements. There are 75-year old regulars who have come for the prime rib restaurant every year on their birthdays and anniversaries because a night here is always special. Sunday offers all-you-can-eat ribs for under $20, while Mondays and Wednesdays have similar deals for shrimp and crab legs. The wait staff here is phenomenal, and their hospitality is most obvious in their charitable Thanksgiving tradition of closing the restaurant to feed the homeless.
