While her 2009 debut solo album "Sweet Prudence," established local songstress Aby Wolf as a folk-pop force to be reckoned with, she'll showcase an entirely different side of her musical personality for tonight's special performance at the Cedar Cultural Center.
An installment in the 416 Club Commissions series, which has the Jerome Foundation and the Cedar providing support for artists to mount new music pieces in collaboration with other local musicians, Wolf's gig this evening finds her ditching the acoustic guitar and going electro.
She'll be mounting an electronic-based dance project with help from the likes of Dance Band's Jesse Whitney, Rogue Valley's Linneah Mohn and Joey Van Phillips of Mystery Palace. Why'll I (nor anyone other than the performers for that matter) haven't heard so much as a note yet of what this crew's been cooking tonight's gig qualifies as a can't-miss judging by their past resumes alone.
