Why she's worth your time: Like her estimable forebear and easiest point of comparison Lucinda Williams, Kathleen Edwards is an alt. country singer unafraid to get her cowgirl boots dirty. Although she's rubbed off some of her endearing rough edges in the years since her 2003 debut "Failer" put her on the map, Edwards remains at her rough and tumble best on caustic cuts like "The Cheapest Key" a stand out rocker from her latest release, "Asking for Flowers."
