There are two kinds of fireworks around the Fourth of July.
Both start with some friends, a few drinks and big expectations for some pyrotechnics. The difference, however, is that one includes a happy crowd of people and ends with a brilliant display of colorful fireworks, and the other includes a few more drinks, a lot less safety and usually ends with something like a car fire.
The bigtime fireworks are of course done by professionals as a part of the celebrations around the cities to help us celebrate our national independence. And since we'll (mostly) be leaving the explosions to the pros, we rounded up the public fireworks displays around the Twin Cities Metro, and pulled out this short list for the best bets for the biggest fireworks displays.
