Take a seat, salsa. It takes you to tango.
Salsa dancing has long been the Latin dance of choice for the social dancers. It's tango time now, though, and Gardel's passionate street sounds are making it's way to the dance floor once again. Tonight the Black Dog Cafe in Lowertown transforms into a Buenos Aires milonga, or tango club.
Take your cues from Lois Donnay, a local dance teacher and performer. She has specialized in Argentine Tango for more than 10 years and was a founder and first president of the Tango Society of Minnesota.
Enjoy a lesson starting at 7:30 p.m. and dancing from 8 p.m. until midnight. Wine and food are available for spectators.
