Summer affords the perfect opportunity to be reintroduced to the ‘Mighty Miss’ and experience the unique mix of old and new that make up this perfect slice of Minneapolis.

From the awe inspiring architecture, to the breathtaking view of the great outdoors, you’ll find a camera is a necessary accessory for capturing your day’s adventures in the historic retreat nestled just steps from the heart of Downtown.

SEE:

As Minneapolis continues to pump life back into this once neglected riverfront, you can again comfortably explore the area and take advantage of picturesque views from many popular vantage points.

History buffs will want to head out to the Stone Arch Bridge, where weekend docents offer up a catalogue of facts about the Mississippi and surrounding area. Snap a photo of the roaring St. Anthony Falls and watch boats head in and out of the locks.

You can find other great views from the Guthrie Theater’s 178-foot cantilever, dubbed the “Endless Bridge,” and an even more dramatic shot from the yellow-boxed 9th floor lobby.

Wind your way through the adjacent 7.5-acre Gold Medal Park, or stroll along the wooden-planked River Road to work up your appetite.

Next up, Eat.
