With a nightly hosting of local bands, this working-class bar is best known for its weekly performances by the Dr. Mambo’s Combo (every Sunday and Monday),as well as other regulars like The New Congress and G.B. Leighton. Word has it that Prince will stop in for a show, so why shouldn't you? The traditional America bar menu is unique, in large part because of the kitchen’s use of fresh ingredients—not too bad for a bar. They roast their own meat for the daily specials, along with the pot roast and corned beef sandwiches, so you know you’re getting quality food with your premium beer.
