The godfather of the Twin Cities club scene—First Avenue and its adjoining smaller club space the 7th St. Entry have been immortalized in song by countless artists and on celluloid by Prince in his 1984 blockbuster "Purple Rain". The club lives up to its legend by having rock ‘n’ roll priced domestic taps (a.k.a. “cheap”) and a distinctly authentic, gritty vibe—oh yeah, they also book the best shows around be they local or national acts.
