This urban contemporary art center on the fringe of Downtown is home to the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden (you know...the Spoonbridge and Cherry), as well as a host of multidisciplinary programming from performing arts to film. A modest admission fee makes the museum accessible to all, though don’t miss the extremely popular (and jam packed) free admission periods on Thursday evenings and the first Saturday of each month. The real hidden gem of this recently renovated and expanded building is the gift shop, where funky trinkets, one-of-a-kind art pieces and a great selection of gifts are sold.
